The American Culvert Company

Herman and Ted Rogovin formed The American Culvert Company in 1936. It later became The Ohio Bridge Corporation in 1952. The company began engineering and manufacturing the first factory, all-welded steel component truss and beam bridges in the country. Customers included local governments, townships, counties and small towns, and our founding fathers instilled the beliefs that became our mission, vision and values today.

A Dream Becomes Reality

Rising demand for dependable steel crossings pushed the company to expand its fabrication operations and refine the all-welded truss designs that set it apart from cast-in-place alternatives.

Today, U.S. Bridge keeps engineering, fabricating and delivering custom steel bridges from Cambridge, Ohio, backed by the same family-driven values it was founded on.
A Family Business

Founded on Family, Led by People

Behind every bridge we design and fabricate is a team of talented employees. For more than 80 years, we have focused on giving our people the resources and experience to grow throughout the company and deliver the highest level of service in the industry. More than steel trusses, beams and decks, it is our people who make these bridges unique.

Celebrating 90 Years of U.S. Bridge

In 2026, U.S. Bridge marked 90 years of engineering, fabricating, and delivering steel bridge solutions from Cambridge, Ohio to communities around the world.

The anniversary celebration brought together employees, family members, partners, customers, and public officials to honor the people and values that have shaped the company since 1936. Guests toured the fabrication floor, shared stories from across generations, and helped commemorate a meaningful milestone: the official renaming of 201 Wheeling Avenue to 100 U.S. Bridge Way.

For U.S. Bridge, 90 years is more than a number. It represents generations of leadership, thousands of bridges, and the continued commitment of a family business built on integrity, service, and craftsmanship.

As we look ahead, the foundation remains the same: building bridges that connect communities, support infrastructure, and carry the U.S. Bridge legacy forward.
